Albumin, a protein found in blood plasma, is frequently prescribed to adults admitted to intensive care units despite evidence indicating there is no benefit.

Join the De/Implement series on November 30 at 12 p.m. ET with Dr. Daniel Niven, Intensivist and Medical Director of the Peter Lougheed Intensive Care Unit in Calgary Alberta. Dr. Niven will share results and lessons learned from a multifaceted quality improvement intervention to reduce low-value albumin use among adults admitted to intensive care.
