Donica Janzen (she/her)

Donica Janzen joined the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council in August 2022 as a senior researcher. Donica specializes in pharmacoepidemiology and the real-world effectiveness of medications.

A pharmacist by training, Donica has a wide variety of clinical experience, including in a rural/remote community and a tertiary care hospital setting. She has overseen several quality improvement projects in the health care system. Donica has worked extensively with administrative data, and brings research experience in drug utilization, comparative effectiveness of medications and validation of administrative data sources.

Donica will receive her PhD (Pharmacy, Concentration in Pharmacoepidemiology) in October 2022 from the University of Manitoba. During her graduate studies, she also completed the Manitoba Training Program for Health Services Research. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan.
