Headshot of Tai Ametepee

Tai joined HQC in May 2025, bringing a wealth of experience in health management, health research, and system improvement.

Tai holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Ilorin, one of Nigeria’s leading federal universities with a highly respected medical program. He practiced medicine as a general practitioner in several hospitals from 2012 to 2016 before transitioning into quality assurance at a health management organization in Nigeria from 2016 to 2020.

Inspired by the powerful role data plays in health system improvement, Tai moved to Canada to work as a Research Associate at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine while pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan.

In his current role as Improvement Lead, Tai supports the Four Winds project by building authentic relationships with Indigenous partners, advancing momentum for improvement, and analyzing data to inform meaningful improvements in community care.

Tai’s background in community medicine, combined with his analytical, strategic, and facilitation expertise, gives him a unique perspective on health system improvement across the patient care journey.
