Session Description

Learning remains an essential part of what we do – perhaps now even more so, as we help people pivot to new work and new roles. But just as we’ve had to adjust to remote working, our training plans have also been disrupted. In this session, we looked at ways of managing this shift from in-person to remote learning. Together we explored questions such as:

  • What exactly is remote learning? A look at the surprisingly diverse approaches – not all of them in front of a computer screen!
  • Is it any good?! What the literature has to say about the effectiveness of distance learning.
  • How can I translate my in-person events into a virtual format? Some practical tips and ideas to move your learning from the classroom to the any room.
  • Where to from here? Resources to help support you in adapting your learning plans.

This workshop is intended for those that are new to remote learning, but we welcome those with loads of experience to join as well & share their hard-earned wisdom!
