Next Quality Summit to be held on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18, 2016

It’s back – and it’s going to be better than ever!

Mark your calendar for the next Health Care Quality Summit, which will be held on October 17 and October 18, 2016, at TCU Place in Saskatoon.

Hosted by the Health Quality Council (HQC) and supported by our system partners, the Quality Summit will bring together people from across our province over two days to learn, share, connect, celebrate, and become inspired. Anyone who is engaged in quality improvement work – including patient and family advisors, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, leaders, and improvement consultants – should consider attending.

The Quality Summit will include engaging and interactive presentations and workshops. Attendees can expect to be inspired by current and upcoming health system improvement work, connect with others who share their passion for health care quality improvement, and come away with new insights, ideas, and strategies.

In 2014, HQC organized the fourth Health Care Quality Summit, which was held in Saskatoon on May 6 and May 7, 2014. The conference attracted more than 540 attendees and featured internationally recognized keynote speakers, panel presentations, a public forum, and awards for teams and individuals. The keynote speakers were author Paul Plsek, who gave a talk entitled “Can we be both Lean AND Creative? The Virginia Mason Experience,” and Kingston General Hospital CEO Leslie Thompson, who gave a talk entitled “What did I learn from a patient today?”
