Our commitment to accessibility
At HQC, we believe in digital equity. As an organization focused on accelerating improvement, we’re committed to making our digital spaces welcoming and accessible to everyone.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 provides an internationally recognized framework for making web content more accessible. Our goal is to meet WCAG 2.2. Level AA – and we know there’s still work to do to get there.
What we’re doing
In alignment with our 2026–28 Accessibility Plan, we’re taking steps to improve the accessibility of our digital footprint, including:
- Reviewing and improving our content: We’ve been working through our website to add meaningful alternative text to images, improve heading structure, and make content easier to navigate with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Regular audits and remediation: We regularly test our website using a combination of automated tools and manual evaluations. This helps us identify accessibility barriers and prioritize improvements.
- Listening to people with lived experience: We seek feedback from people with disabilities to help us understand what’s working, identify barriers, and make meaningful improvements.
- Independent verification: We don’t rely solely on our own expertise. We work with third-party accessibility experts to review and validate our efforts.
